Never have I been to a more beautiful and well-organized wedding than Andrea’s. From the shuttle service to and from the venue, the outdoor ceremony setup, the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, to the seated reception - it was evident Andrea meticulously planned her wedding. My husband and I still talk about how much we enjoyed it! I recommend Andrea’s advice if you want to make your wedding a magical event for you and your guests.

We still talk about our experience at Andrea’s wedding!

Cassandra B., Wedding Guest

Andrea’s wedding had a romantic vibe, from the color scheme to the decor, and the reception felt intimate with personal touches that reflected the couple. I was so shocked to find out it wasn’t done by a professional planner.

I do have formal training as a coach, but I’m not a certified wedding planner. While certification is something I may consider in the future, I also believe there’s TONS of value in getting a non-industry perspective. I’ve been right in your shoes and navigated the same challenges you are right now – and I’m telling you what I know from my real-life experience as a self-planning bride, not just regurgitated industry standards.

Are you a certified wedding planner & bridal coach?

No, but I did use a “month of coordinator,” which is a budget-friendly alternative that I highly recommend. Thirty days out, she took over communication with my vendors (which I selected and booked myself) and she served as our day-of coordinator. For those on even tighter budgets, I have some great alternative suggestions.

Did you use a wedding planner?

I got married in 2018 and my final wedding budget was $25k for almost 200 guests. For context, the current average for a wedding this size is nearly double that amount. I know that inflation is a real thing and prices are on the rise, which is why the money-saving advice you’ll find here is more valuable than ever (and I always keep it up to date!). Showing you how to plan a wedding that looks and feels classic and timeless is also incredibly important to me, so this is intel that doesn’t go out of style! 😉

When did you get married and how much did you spend on your wedding?

Totally fair question! What’s considered “on a budget” or “affordable” is very subjective. And what’s a “must-have” for one bride may be different for another. But I genuinely and wholeheartedly believe that you can achieve a quality wedding that fits YOUR budget, which is why I focus on teaching ways to save on various individual aspects of your wedding, which you can apply to your personal circumstances. If you’re struggling with this, you can book a 1:1 session with me. We can work together to narrow down what matters to you most so you can focus your efforts and funds there.

When you say “plan a wedding on a budget,” what does that really mean?
